Cititour Review:

Fifteen years after the last automat closed in New York City, it's back with an Asian twist. Bamn, in the East Village, is offering up American and Asian street food to the masses, assuming you've got some change in your pockets and a zest for adventure. The shiny stainless steel windows bear lots of goodies for the taking. Pluck in a dollar in quarters, open a window, and retrieve some Bamn donuts. Think Italian zepoles with a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Plop in $1.50 and the window reveals a New York Grilled Cheese, $2 and you've got Pizza Dumplings or a Teriburger, which was suprisingly good. It included a piece chicken with a teriyaki glaze topped with lettuce and tomato on a soft roll. Not bad for two bucks. You'll also find chicken nuggets and wings, mac 'n cheese krokets and peanut butter and jelly empanadas, which they were out of when we arrived. Bamn is open 24 hours making it a great spot for late night munchies. Is Bamn gourmet food? No. Is it fun food? We give it a resounding YES!
