Stepping into Bunsmith in Crown Heights, you know you are in for something special. The space is narrow, but somehow they’ve managed to squeeze in a full bar and tables (front and back) without making you feel squeezed in. And while there are interesting cocktails (like the Ruby Red and The Smokin' Ginger Rogers), the real reason to come here is for the food. Playful Korean-style dishes don’t disappoint, like fluffy buns filled with pork jowl or bulgogi; pork lettuce wraps with charred kimchi and puffed sweet potato noodles; spicy Korean fried chicken with pickled daikon; and ramen with a cheesy broth. Never a dull moment! Bunsmith, located on Franklin Avenue, also operates a stand at Dekalb Market Hall.
