Cititour Review:

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want to enjoy a delicious dining experience, Dressler will provide the perfect atmosphere and top-notch food.  The owner, Colin Delvin, also owns another neighborhood restaurant, Dumont (famous for their burgers), and carries the same thoughtful dining concept to Dressler.   The only problem you might be presented with is choosing from all of the amazing selections.

You will be warmly greeted by the staff and escorted to your posh leather booth while taking in the intricate chandeliers and metalwork crafted by Brooklyn Navy Yard artisan sculptors.  The environment is warm and intriguing all at once, and the smells wafting from other tables will be sure to stir your appetite.

For starters, the Diver Scallops ($16) are simply amazing with their maple-celery root puree, crispy brussel sprouts, pancetta and curry butter.  Yes, that’s curry infused butter— a dizzying delight for the taste buds.  Served with their fresh horseradish and mignonette, the Market Oysters are also a treat.  When it comes to mains, the Long Island Duck Breast ($34) is well worth the price tag, served whimsically with a flare of black mission fig, roasted cippolini onions, and mushrooms ragout.  Also on the menu are unique dishes with succulent flavor, such as Black Sea Bass ($28) served with broccoli rabe, lentils, red peppers and chorizo, and Niman Ranch Pork Loin & Belly ($28) served with a lush parsnip puree and apple-brussel sprout hash.  Smaller plates include St. Louis Style Ribs ($15) and Mini Peekytoe Crab Cakes ($12).

Dressler doesn’t stop there—they also have a great Brunch.  Try any one of their beautifully served egg dishes for an infusion of creative flavor.  The Eggs Benedict is divine, served with a steaming cheddar biscuit and black forest ham.  Whether you are visiting for brunch or dinner, a small plate or a full-on dinner, you really can’t go wrong.
