I don't know about you, but I can't pass up a dumpling shop. So, when I spotted Dumpling Go in the Village I had no other choice but to go in. The place has a fast-food feel so my hopes weren't too high.
Dumplings come in a variety of flavors, including beef, chicken, pork and vegetable that are steamed or grilled. I opted for pork vegetable on the advice of the two friendly workers at the counter. The dumplings were spot on; juicy pork in ultra-light dumplings like the ones found in Chinatown. They have a nice assortment of sauces. I dunked mine in soy sauce and hot chili oil.
Dumpling Go also sells an assortment of bao, or steamed buns, with sweet and savory fillings.
