Gimelli is a mediterranean spot in Bushwick by the same team behind The Ledge, a '70s-inspired rooftop bar. Both are taking their cue from sunny Calfornia by lightening up the space and the food. The centerpiece at Gemelli is a horseshoe shaped bar on the ground floor. The menu offers Italian and Mediterranean fare with dishes like seared provolone in a cast iron skillet, baguettes stuffed with sausage and peppers, cacio e pepe pasta, grilled fish of the day and a spice rubbed T-bone. Brunch brings ricotta pancakes and zeppoles. At The Ledge, visitors and can enjoy a cocktail and small plates while taking in city views. The rooftop bar is open year round thanks to retracable roof. A pink neon sign ushers in guests starting at 4pm, earlier on weekends. Gemelli is open for lunch and dinner starting at 11 am. >>
