Where the Brooklyn Bridge meets the Manhattan Bridge in Chinatown you with find Golden Diner. Major Food Group and Momofuku Ko veteran Sam Yoo has created a classic New York-style diner that is serving up foods influenced by the neighborhood. Look for dishes like the Chicken Katsu Club with BLT, red cabbage and bulldog sauce; Kaffir Avocado Toast with lemongrass, thai basil and fresh tumeric; and Saganaki Sticks, Yoo's take on mozzarella sticks. Breakfast items, including a breakfast burrito, and baked goods are also offered.
UPDATE: Golden Diner now does dinner. Look for things like Korean Fried Chicken Wings, Salt & Pepper Calamari, and a seasonal Bibimbap Bowl. Other offerings include Sam's Tuna Melt served on griddled rye bread, and the Golden Burger, a 6-ounce charred Happy Valley beef patty with mushroom kochujang sauce and Pickle Guys bread-and-butter pickles. Cocktails are also available, like Golden Punch, a passionfruit sangria with soju-infused oranges, and a Soju Bloody Mary.
