Cititour Review:

Henry's is a bright and airy spot on the Upper West Side with lots of tables out front for people-watching.  Inside, you might find musicians playing slow jazz, or the baby grand that serves as a centerpiece in the dining room. There are cocktails at the bar and plenty of food choices from the contemporary American bistro menu.

Appetizers include fried calamari, duck confit spring rolls and gazpacho. The mezzo plate is a good pick for the table.  A nice supply of fummus, artichoke feta purée, lentil-quinoa tabouleh salad, giant Lima bean salad and ratatouille are provided with soft pita bread. Salads are also offered including one with tossed kale, red grapes, Parmesan and olives. A roasted beet salad and traditional Caesar also make an appearance on the menu.

The is a nice assortment of burgers served on Balthazar seeded buns.  Pastas include rigatoni bolognese with black angus, shaved pecorino and basil.  Meat lovers can gravitate to a New York strip steak or braised lamb shank.  We tried the perfectly prepared half roasted chicken served with sweet peas and fingerling potatoes.  It was quite good as was the rigatoni (according to my son).

Desserts include warm chocolate cake with a large scoop of pistachio ice cream and individual cheesecakes drizzled with raspberry sauce. Overall, a very enjoyable meal.
