Playing off the success of its BBQ joint, Hill Country has opened a new spot devoted to fried chicken and homemade pies. The restaurant is set up cafeteria style with seating on two levels. You can choose from two types of fried chicken; classic which has a thick coating or the house recipe named after "Mama El". They're using top-of-the-line Bell and Evans natural chickens and the meat is nice and tender. You'll also want to get your hands on their delicious buttermilk biscuits. Other sides include cheesy fried mashed potatoes, creamy coleslaw and fresh cut fries.
