You know you're doing something right when your restaurant is still around for more than 60 years. Brooklynites flock to L&B Spumoni Gardens for a slice of their famous pies, one with and one without cheese. The round pies are served piping hot with lots of gooey mozzarella while the Sicilian pie is topped only with fresh tomato sauce and a dusting of parmesan. Both have a crunchy crust, and folks usually order a slice of each. And believe it or not slices here are still under 2 bucks which is a rarity these days. Afterward, you can stop next door for what else, but a cup of their delicious spumoni loaded with nuts winter, spring, summer or fall. There's also a full restaurant with loads of Italian specialties, like broccoli rabe with sausage, chicken cacciatore, and veal and peppers.
