Cititour Review:

In search of some cheap eats in the Meatpacking District, I found myself at the Pig Guy at Gansevoort Market.  Two guys in front of me were ordering something called "bacon on a stick" which the Pig Guy is known to serve up at baseball games.  The skewered slab of bacon is slathered with a maple sriracha sauce.   At seven bucks, it's the perfect snack food.  Tempting indeed.   But I was after something a bit more substantial.

So I decided to go for a pulled pork sandwich.  The pork is piled high and topped with a spectacular thai chili sauce.  It is served on two thick slices of white bread with a side of Red Hook Slaw.  Eating it as a sandwich can be a tricky task so I wound up using a knife and fork.  Every bite was scrumptious.

Other offerings include BBQ ribs, smoked brisket and a "Chorizo Dog" with provolone, chopped red onion with a chimmicurri mayo.   The staff's great at Pig Guy making this the perfect spot to pig out.
