Gourmet pizza has arrived in Times Square with Rock Pizza Scissors. The small stand, brought to you by the team behind Breads Bakery and Nur, uses handmade dough formed into elongated pies that are cooked in a stone oven. Large slices are then cut with a scissor. The crust is crispy and bubbly. Toppings change day-to-day and range from a classic margherita with tomato, torn mozzarella, pesto and fresh basil to the Shakshuka with housemade tomato matbucha, fried egg and fresh parsley. We enjoyed a slice topped with fresh red & yellow peppers, mozzarella and calamata olives. Take out or eat one of the café-style tables nearby. Slices cost $7 with a whole pie at $21.
