The sound of Greek music fills the air as you enter Stix, a restaurant dedicated to skewered meats smothered in Mediterranean herbs and spices. Owner Stathis Antonakopoulos, who is often found greeting customers, has created a welcoming space with a full bar for cocktails and espresso, lots of casual seating and an all-day Greek yogurt bar. The "Stix" come in six varieties. Pork Stix are marinated in olive oil and thyme overnight, while chicken gets its kick from honey-mustard, and tuna is seasoned with lime zest, olive oil and crushed black pepper. There's also a vegetarian option. Sides include roasted baby potatoes, Israeli cous cous and Greek fries with feta and oregano. Greek inspired desserts are also available. - Thomas Rafael
