UPDATE: A notice on the website says Uncle Boons Sister will no longer be available for dine in and take out service. Although, delivery will still be available via Caviar and Seemless. This as the folks behind Uncle Boons plan to open their new venture, Thai Diner, at 186 Mott Street.
If you're a fan of Uncle Boons, you'll love Uncle Boons Sister, a tiny spot on Mulberry Street offering takeout and a few small tables for dining in. The flavors of Uncle Boons are realized in dishes like Phat Thai with grilled prawns over rice noodles with peanuts, Puu Phat Pong Kari with crab and organic egg, Kha Mun Gai made with poached chicken, herbed rice and a ginger-soybean sauce. Other offerings include Khao Kaa Muu, soy and anise braised pork shank over rice with mustard greens, and Laab spicy fried chicken. Beer and wine is also available. Sweets include milk toast and a coconut ice cream cone covered with a white chocolate shell, candied peanuts and toasted coconut. Everything we tried was very delicious. See more
