From the Far East to Midtown East, casual dining spot Wok Chi is serving up fabulous stir-fry in build-your-own bowls. Start with your favorite protein (chicken, pork, beef, shrimp and tofu), then add sauce (the Spicy Szechwan is the hottest), and four veggies ranging from yellow and green squash to broccoli, mushrooms and snow peas. Then add a base; rice, noodles or quinoa, and you've got the makings of a quick, affordable meal. We tried the chicken with the General Not-So-Tso's sauce and brown rice. It packed a bit of heat and was tasty with lots of crunchy vegetables. We'd recommend asking for extra sauce. Spring rolls and dumplings are also available.
