E.A.K Ramen is expanding to Hell's Kitchen with a larger, more sophisticated setting. The new space features exposed brick, custom lantern-style lighting, and an 8-seat communal table. Chef Kiyoyuki Miyashita is specializing in IEKEI ramen (pronounced E-A-K) that originated in Yokohama Japan and marries Tokyo's shoyu (soy) with tonkotsu (pork) from Western Japan. It is served with thick cut noodles. In all, seven types of ramen are offered including E.A.K Ramen with pork and chicken broth, Oh So Hot! Ramen with spicy miso ground chicken and Umami Mushroom Ramen. The menu also features Bao Buns, Takoyaki (octopus balls) and Butakaku Pork Belly. A wide range of sake and Japanese craft beers are also available.
