Good News! You no longer have to trek to the Upper West Side for a scoop of Grom's delicious gelato. The Italian purveyor has set up shop in the Village at the corner of Bleecker and Carmine Streets. You'll find a wide assortment of flavors like rich dark chocolate made with Venezuelan cocoa beans; Cassata Siciliana, created with fresh ricotta and candied citron, lemon and orange; and then there's Gianduja, a chocolate gilato with Tonde and Gentili hazelnuts.
Grom only uses organic ingredients. Imports its own water. Even its homemade whipped cream is made with care, using patented machines from the 1950s.
