Review:
Krunch Pizza Bar makes good on its pledge to deliver a slice with a healthy crunch! This mother and son team, Alba and Angelo Pisacreta, only sell square pies that are slowly cooked in a custom-built pizza oven.
We tried two varieties. The "Alla Funghi" was fabulous, topped with wild mushrooms, fresh tomato, mozzarella and garlic. But a slice topped with proscuitto de palma proved to be a tad too salty. Sill, the proscuitto was very fresh and moist.
And if those two choices don't rock your boat there are lots of other options like the Krunch Zucca smothered with fresh zucchini, onion, garlic and parmigiano, or the Bianchi Krunch, made with ricotta, marscapone and truffle oil.
Slices at Krunch range in price from $2.50 to $3.75. Two can make a perfect meal. Whole pies start at $16.50 for the Margherita to $24 for the Krunch Gamberi, garnished with shrimps, olives and red onion. Pastas, salads and panini sandwiches are also available.
The one thing we love about Krunch is its willingness to experiment. Oh, and the 'krunch'.

I am a student at NYU and I live in the city during the school year, I eat a lot of pizza during the year and Krunch makes great pizza. They use from what i can tell fresh ingredients with great toppings and a slightly different twist on a staple in a college students diet. The service was excellent and the staff was very helpful and kind. I would recommend Krunch to anyone who is tired of greasy pizza and wants something delicious

Delicious
Krunch pizza was delcious. Opening night was insane! I got have free drinks and pizza, my favorite pizza is the one with truffle oil. The public relation firm that represents them did an excellent job with the press. They're based in Manhattan, check out their website amp3pr.com

a great addition
The pizza is unlike anything ive ever had, it may not be for everyone but you must at least try it. The rest of the menu is as good as any italian restaraunt in the area at 1/2 the price
