Among the many bakeries you will find in New York City, few are as magical as the Little Cupcake Bakeshop. The interior takes its inspiration from the Jazz Age, so expect the beats of Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday and Louis Armstrong to greet you at the door. Shiny chandeliers hover welcomingly inside, their lights enticing you to come closer and view the iced cakes on the counters.
Cakes and cupcakes here have flavors that you won’t get in other bakeshops, such as Hummingbird and Blue Velvet. It is a happy oasis after a long day of shopping on the eastern side of Prince Street if you’re in Soho, or on Third Avenue if you’re in Brooklyn. All products are baked on the premises, giving them that homemade moistness.
On days when you’re able to get a seat, best to bring a book or your laptop as you savor their signature treats such as s’mores bars, pecan pie, and peanut butter cupcakes. Or spend your mornings there and feast on cinnamon pecan buns and ham and cheese croissants. Soothing jazz music and friendly service by staff bedecked in pink await you. Great cupcakes can only be paired with great Illy coffee and espresso—a lovely treat for meeting up with friends. Enjoy!

Had the Mott Street cupcake, it was fantastic! My favorite bakery in NYC...one other note, the ice cream is out of this world!
