You're likely to be greeted by owner Pauli Morgan with a friendly "good day mate" as you enter his new gastro-pub in the shadows of the Brooklyn Bridge. This stylish spot with a long wooden bar and cozy booths is worth a stop for a pint or two as you enjoy New Zealand specialties like grilled oysters, venison sausage and green-lipped mussels. Or you might want to sample a New Zealand-style burger with egg, one of several traditional pot pies or something a bit more filling like the grilled lamb chops. There's also a nice selection of New Zealand wines that line the back wall. Nelson Blue is a welcome addition to the area and a great stop after a visit to the Seaport. Just be sure to wish Pauli a "gidday" from us!
