Review:
Pastis is situated in the white-hot meatpacking district. It was among the first to arrive and is now joined by Spice, Ono and many more fine restaurants.
They take reservations for lunch but NOT after 7 p.m. for dinner, So expect a wait.
This is Keith McNally's (of Balthazar fame)restaurant. Surprisingly, the staff is incredibly nice... accommodating... FIRST RATE.
And so is the food.
Try the steak frites. A bonus: you WILL have celeb sightings... lots of movie, t-v and magazine types.
