**Steak Frites is moving to 225 Varick St**
Steak Frites is what you might expect from a French bistro. There's a long bar with Parisan paintings and French music playing in the background. The staff also seems to have the snobby French attitude down pat.
But the restaurant also has a quite affordable $15.95 brunch that is worth taking advantage of on weekends. There are omelets, crepes and eggs benedict, as well as salads with fresh veggies from the farmer's market up the block, steamed mussels in a wine sauce and of course steak frites ($6 extra).
I enjoyed a nice glass of Chardonnay, an oversized black angus burger and a nice batch of frites. Left happy, full, and maybe even a bit more French!
