Tavalon is a perfect spot for a cup of tea whether it's a relaxing brew or a pick-me-up. A stand outside often offers free samples and is what lured us in along with several other passersby.
We tried "Genius," a mix of white tea, mint and plum juice. First, the mint hits you followed by the slight fruitiness of the plum and it's quite enjoyable. There's also the "Detox" a black tea blended with ginger, peppermint and organic cane sugar. Or you may opt for an "Antioxidant Shot" ($2.50), a shot of green tea, lemongrass and the juice of the Brazilian acai berry.
The shop also sells unmixed teas by the cup or packaged as gifts along with tea accessories. Tea lovers will love it!

Tavalon is probably new yorks nest kept secret. i did not know that they have been around for almost a year. i went in when it was really warm because i had sampled their chai seduction and ended up enjoying it iced. chris was very informative and helpful and the dj was very friendly

the best BUBBLE TEAS IN TOWN!
i tried 4 of their bubble teas so far and HOOKED for LIFE! try their HERBAL FRUIT FREEZE... delicious.

just what new yorkers have been waiting for. i liked the chai seduction. strong taste but smoothe at the same time. good looking employees too!
