Wolfgang's breaks the mold of what you have come to expect from a steakhouse. Located inside the New York Times building in Times Square, the restaurant is surrounded by walls of glass making it light and airy.It is part of the steakhouse empire created by Wolfgang Zwiener who learned his craft from his years at the Peter Luger's in Brooklyn. Times Square is Zweiner's fourth New York City restaurant, and the jewel in his crown. A huge wall of wine divides the bar from the main daining hall with its towering ceilings and huge chandeliers. The menu features a mix of steak and seafood. Start with a jumbo shrimp cocktail and crab cakes, or maybe some sizzling Canadian bacon served extra thick. Main courses include USDA Prime, dry aged beef. Thick steaks that can feed up to four alongside filet mignon, sirloin and rib eye. There are jumbo lobsters broiled or steamed and grilled salmon and yellowfin tuna.Wolfgang's is open seven days a week, including all major holidays, and is also available for private parties and events.
