Review:
There's no black magic at 'wichcraft, although the food is quite magical and affordable. Although some may balk
at a $9 sandwich.
But when the sandwich is pulled pork with sourkraut and hot jalepeno slices, resulting in a gastronomic treat, you
may think twice.
And that's just the start of it.
Tom Colicchio has worked his 'craft' wonderfully to bring his star restaurant Craft and sibling Craftbar to the people.
The environment is less than stunning, with what amounts to a cafeteria-style sandwich bar. But don't be fooled. Just grab a tray and head upstairs for the feast. Sandwiches include; marinated broccoli rabe with roasted peppers, olives and mozzarella on a baguette ($7) to meatloaf, cheddar, bacon and tomato relish on a ciabatta roll ($9).
Then there are the treats. It will be difficult to pass up one of the chocolate chunk scones ($2) or the chocolate covered cupcakes ($2.50).
Definitely bewitching!
