Cititour Review:

Campania is a place you could easily fall in love with.  It's dimly lit with bulky wooden tables and crystal chandeliers that offer just a bit of glam.  It has a welcoming feel that's perfect for families and large groups.

The specialty of the house is coal-fired thin-crust pizza.  The crust is more biscuit-like than what you would find on a traditional pie and has a nice crunch.  Our pie held up well to a layer of mushrooms and prosciutto, while a clam pie had a nice brininess to it.  Other toppings include sausage, meatballs,  broccoli rabe, artichoke hearts and spinach.

The shrimp parmigiana hero is also worth seeking out.  The shrimps are large topped with a thick layer of mozzarella and fresh tomato sauce.  Sandwiches are served either on Italian bread or home-made focaccia.  The mozzarella is also made in-house daily.  On an earlier visit, a special of lobster ravioli also made for a filling meal.

A search of the menu also reveals baked clams, mussels in a spicy marinara sauce and fried calamari, along with nice asortment of salads (that could easily be shared), and calzones stuffed with ham or prosciutto.

If I had one complaint about Campania it would be the service.  It can be slow to almost non-existent at times.  But if you're not in a rush and enjoy sitting back with a nice glass of wine, Campania is the place to be.
