Located in a former opera house, Chinese Tuxedo is offering a fresh take on Chinese food along with some classics. The space itself is elegant with a balcony overlooking the main dining room with textured walls, lush plants and curvy black banquettes. A full bar awaits as you enter. Snacks include oysters with pickled chili and ginger, steak tartare on Sichuan rice crackers, and crispy curried chicken spring rolls. Tuxedo dumplings get a spicy pork filling with flying fish roe on top. "Husband and Wife" brings strips of jellyfish and pig's ear in a Sichuan noodle salad. There's Grandma's Spicy Pork Lo Mein with house-made noodles, and fried rice with shrimps and scallops. Honey Glazed Char Sui featuring thick slices of roast pork is destined to be a house favorite.
