Don’t Matter is a vinyl listening lounge and cocktail bar in DUMBO where the records are as much a part of the night as what’s in your glass. A custom sound system and carefully chosen vinyl collection set the tone, while cocktails take some interesting turns — the Crimes of Passion mixes spicy tequila with Thai basil-infused mezcal and passionfruit, and the Winston Sour brings together shiso, yuzu, ginger and gin. The food is made for sharing, with curried jumbo lump crab sliders, tuna tartlets with Osetra caviar, rum-glazed Wagyu skewers and plantain chips with spicy mango dip. It’s a place designed for settling in rather than just stopping by for a drink.
