You will want to step into Du Jour, a truly lovely bake shop in Park Slope. It is also a perfect spot to sit back with a terrific cup of Joe. The ham and cheese brioche makes for a wonderful sandwich alternative. It's light and fluffy and laced with thick slices of ham and melted cheese. Other savory dishes include an everything pretzel, cheddar and chive biscuit, and chicken pot pie. The shop also has a nice assortment of sweets; cranberry orange scones, almond croissants, hummingbird cupcakes and pecan sandies to name a few. There is also a luscious creme brulee that is small enough to make it feel guiltless, but rich enough to feel quite endulgent. It's topped with a giant blackberry and a fleck of gold leaf.
