Extra Sauce is the comfort-food concept from chef Lee Knoeppel, an Anthony Bourdain protégé who competed as a member of Team Bourdain on ABC’s The Taste, and business partner Chris Hargitt. The menu goes big on smash burgers, including the Brooklyn Fried Onion and Nacho Bacon, along with crispy chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, waffle fries and tots. What began as a Brooklyn pop-up has grown into a casual spot for big flavors, creative toppings and a lineup of specialty sauces made for mixing and dipping.
