Fat Ronnie’s Burger Bar brings a Martha’s Vineyard favorite with deep Harlem roots back to Manhattan, now open at 303 6th Avenue. Founded by Reynaldo “Ronnie” Faust, the concept draws on a five-generation family legacy tied to his grandmother Maxine Faust, the first Black union butcher in the U.S., and a history of Harlem restaurants and butcher shops. The focus here is on butcher-grade, pub-style Angus beef burgers, freshly ground in-house and grilled to order, with more than 30 toppings for full customization. The menu also expands beyond burgers with a chopped cheese (bodega sandwich), codfish sandwiches, Fish & Chips, a lobster roll, chicken options, mac and cheese, and housemade veggie burgers, making it a well-rounded, no-shortcuts spot built on quality and tradition.
