Floradora is a lively Greenwich Village restaurant and bar from Cody Pruitt and Jacob Cohen that replaces their more formal Chateau Royale at 205 Thompson Street. Executive Chef Vanessa Velez gives familiar comfort food a playful New York spin, with mozzarella sticks, spicy tuna rösti and pull-apart garlic bread leading into two-layer oxtail lasagna, pastrami-spiced pork ribs, Wagyu steak au poivre and a tuna melt on milk bread; even the fries come “Disco” style with mozzarella and au poivre sauce. Set inside a two-story carriage house, Floradora serves dinner, cocktails and late-night food, with weekend hours extending until 2 a.m.
