Cititour Review:

Georgia's Eastside BBQ is a funky spot on the Lower East Site for some finger-lickin' cue. It's walls are lined with little pigs and a rifle, while wooden buckets serve as catch basins for napkins soaked with barbecue sauce. You'll need 'em. It was all you could eat crab-n-rib night during our first visit. And let me begin by saying the ribs are excellent! The meat, smothered in spices and a tangy barbecue sauce, literally falls off the bone (hence, the need for lots of napkins). The Alaskan king crab legs had trouble following that act (translation: order 2 racks). My son, meanwhile, dug into his grilled hot dog which arrived with a load of hand-cut fries. On a second visit, we devoured a pulled pork sandwich overflowing with meat and topped with homemade cole slaw, which also had a bit of kick to it. Again, the meat was as tender as could be. Fried chicken also arrived nicely spiced with plenty of crunch. A side dish of barbecued beets had a great smoky flavor. Only the homemade beans seemed a bit undercooked and praying for more sauce. Otherwise, it was terrific meal. My only regret is that on both occasions they were out of corn bread. On the other hand, it's a great excuse to take the family out for another barbecue feast at Georgia's.
