L’Avenue is bringing a bit Paris to Saks Fifth Avenue. Located on the 9th Floor of Saks’ flagship store in Midtown is a fashionable space spanning two floors designed by Philippe Starck where the crowd is just as polished as the restaurant itself. The centerpiece is a brass-topped circular bar with nearby lounge seating, intimate tables for two and a large sharing table as you enter. The all-day menu offers an eclectic mix of French and Asian influences with dishes ranging from shrimp soup and dim sum to truffle risotto, escargots, filet mignon, miso salmon and perfect Peking Duck. Inventive cocktails include Croissant & Bubbles with croissant-infused cognac, a Jasmine Gimlet and Pandanabananarama with pisco, crème de banane, and pandan, or just sit back with a dry martini. Assorted sweets are also available, including Costes Crackers Cheesecake (the famous one) and raspberry rose macarons. L'Avenue is the place to go when you want to pamper yourself.
