Lucky Charlie, now open in Bushwick, brings old-school charm and deep pizza heritage to a historic setting—home to America’s oldest known coal oven, built in 1890. Helmed by award-winning chef Nino Coniglio (Williamsburg Pizza, Coniglio’s), the menu celebrates his Sicilian roots with coal-fired sourdough pizzas, seasonal baked pastas like a 20-layer Lasagna Verde, and seafood-forward antipasti including Shrimp Al Forno and Sicilian Seafood Salad. Signature pies feature housemade toppings and a biga-fermented crust that’s light and flavorful. Cocktails by Rob Hoffman lean Italian, while housemade sodas and an all-Sicilian wine list round out the nostalgic experience inside a vintage-styled space named after Charlie Verde, who uncovered the oven in 2002.
