Monkey Thief is a Pan-Asian cocktail bar in Hell’s Kitchen with three very different spaces to settle into, from the lively Court to the more intimate Den. Cocktails often borrow from the kitchen — Major Tom mixes gin, lemongrass, coconut, tomato and fish sauce — and the food follows suit with Beef Koi tartare, chicken satay, lamb kebabs and Sichuan Peppercorn Fried Chicken with cucumber yogurt and chili crisp. It’s an ambitious spot for drinks and dinner, with enough going on to make each room feel like a different part of the night.
