Tamalería La Madrina is a new grab-and-go spot in Crown Heights from Artemio Baltazar and Chef Marisol Lopez of Taqueria Milear, focused on traditional tamales and antojitos made fresh daily in limited quantities. Named after Marisol’s nickname, the menu draws from family recipes passed down from her 104-year-old grandmother, with hand-wrapped tamales like Pollo Mole with a 10-hour, 25-ingredient mole, Oaxaqueño with pork baby ribs, Birria with optional consommé, and Jalapeño con Queso, all available as Guajolotas on bolillo rolls. The lineup also includes antojitos such as Perro Caliente, Doriesquite, and street corn, plus breakfast burritos, molletes, housemade aguas frescas, and warm drinks like Café de Olla and Champurrado, with catering available for events.
