Cititour Review:

In the mood for something different, I stumbled upon Wok to Walk on 8th Avenue and the corner of 38th street in Manhattan. Intrigued by the name, I decided to peek inside before ordering something. The aroma of the fresh food being prepared that engulfed my nostrils as soon as I entered, and all of the menu options definitely sealed the deal for me.

Being that it was my first time at Wok to Walk I took careful consideration to choose exactly what I wanted to eat. Here is how it works. First, you choose your base. Base options include, egg noodles, rice noodles, jasmine rice, a veggie dish, and a few others. After choosing your base, you must then choose a “side”. There are fifteen options to choose from, including, steak, bacon, tofu, broccoli, and cashew, just to name a few. Last is your sauce. There are eight sauce options.  As you can imagine, I had to do some heavy thinking before making a decision. There were so many options! In the end, I decided to go with the whole-grain rice, tofu as a side, and the Saigon sauce (garlic and black pepper). For an additional fifty cent, I also had the option of choosing a topping like: peanuts, fried garlic, fried onions, sesame seed mix or fresh cilantro. I opted out of the topping.

The result of my concoction was a filling mix of delicious goodness. My fried whole-grain rice was on point and the Saigon sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of spice to add a nice kick. For less than ten bucks, you cannot beat a filling meal from Wok to Walk.
