Cafe by day and sexy cocktail bar by night. Bar Beau in Williamsburg has a lot going for it. Owner Claire Chan has created a welcoming spot for coffee and local pastries at this all-day cafe. When the sun goes down, the back space is transformed into a luscious cocktail den with a full bar, beamed ceilings and white-washed brick. Elegant cocktails by mixologist Grant Wheeler come with names like The Velveteen Rabbit made with brandy, rum & black sesame; and (her name was) Cassandra with whiskey, pineapple and habarnero. Small plates include Udon with shiso pesto, a little gem salad with daikon vinaigrette, deviled eggs, charcuterie and the Beau Burger. Whether you want to sit back with latte or share a classic cocktail with your beau, Bar Beau has it all.
