Charlie Bird is an interesting bird. It's a neighborhood restaurant drawing its inspiration from downtown New York. It also relies on local foods brought in from nearby farmer's markets and Long Island fishing boats. There are small plates of things like Warm Fresh Ricotta on fruit focaccia, Truffled Egg Toast, and Hand Cut Fries with rosemary and sea salt. Larger plates include Gnocchi Rosa with crushed tomato, ricotta and mint; Crispy Farm Chicken with turnip, chestnut and cabbage; and Spaghetti with cauliflower, lemon and anchovies. Drinks range from Mimosas to a Whisky Smash.
