The iconic Central Park Boathouse, a landmark destination since 1954, has reopened as a full-service restaurant and bar, sitting on the eastern edge of picturesque Central Park Lake.

The newly renovated restaurant is bringing back all of the charm and history of the Boathouse presented as a modern, elegant experience.  With a refreshed Continental menu, the kitchen is run by award-winning Executive Chef Adam Fiscus (New Jersey Performing Arts Center) along with acclaimed Consulting Chef Dave Pasternack (Esca, Picholine), and operated by Legends, an accomplished global premium experiences company.

The Central Park Boathouse is open daily for lunch and dinner, and always popular Sunday brunch. Each meal begins with a complimentary relish tray for every table. Highlights include Stuffed Mushrooms with crushed ritz crackers, Gruyere and Sherry; Baked Oysters Rockefeller and house-made Boathouse Clam Chowder.

Fresh seafood selections bring East Coast Oysters and Hidden Fjord Salmon Crudo - Pasternack specialty.  Other offerings include Spaghetti with Lobster, Fish & Chips (lunch only), Filet of Beef with five peppercorn au poivre; and Prime Rib of Beef (dinner only) with fresh horseradish and Yorkshire pudding.

For brunch there is Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Benedict with hollandaise and Quiche with ham, mushroom, spinach, and gruyere, among others. There’s also an inexpensive kids menu for children 10 years old and under, with meal choices, such as Chicken Tenders with Fries, and Pasta with Butter or Marinara, which all include a fruit cup and kid’s drink. For a sweet finish there is New York Cheesecake with seasonal berry compote; Tarte Tatin with Crème Fraiche; and Chocolate Lava Cake with whipped cream.

The Boathouse’s thoughtfully curated beverage program includes an international wine list, as well as classic New York cocktails like the Manhattan and Old Fashioned, to the Paloma and Lavender French 75.  Select beer are also available, including Montauk Wave Chaser IPA, and Mill House Brewing Co. Kold One Kolsch, and non-alcoholic drinks, such as Mocktail Mule and Arnold Palmer.  Reservations are encouraged for all restaurant dining via OpenTable; walk-ins are also accepted.

With is grand white pillars, elegant chandeliers, decorated mosaic floor tiles, and crisp white tablecloths, the Central Park Boathouse remains a stylish New York City destination. Abstract paintings inspired by the beauty of nature commissioned from the artist Raven Roxanne, and freshly painted bluebird-toned high ceiling, which illuminates light off of The Lake through its timeless French door windows, bring an upscale terrace feel.  Boathouse’s beautifully restored, classic square, refined wood bar and bar tables situated a few steps above the main dining floor, offering a birds-eye view of the grand space and waterside.  Bar seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.

The Central Park Boathouse stands as a testament to NYC’s rich history and symbol of Central Park that continues to endure now and into the future.
