Cititour Review:

For the Asian flavors to satisfy your noodle cravings, come to Chef 28. I used to live quite close to 28th street, making it my go-to for a nice meal in the neighborhood or sushi delivery. Chef 28 is a fusion Chinese and Japanese restaurant with a menu for miles. They offer a truly pleasant and causal atmosphere and great food.

Chef 28 is great as a lunch spot. The menu contains loads of specials, as well as many different Japanese bento boxes to choose from.

Day or night, there are many classic Asian options such as fried rice ($7.25), lo mein ($7.25), and pan fried noodles ($11.50). Next on the menu comes sections of salad and soups, such as the very delicious shrimp filled wonton noodle soup ($7.25). Categories of beef, chicken, duck and prawn follow, as well as house specials. The best is the ever satisfying orange chicken or beef ($12.00).

Chef 28 also comes to mind when I am in the mood for sushi. I like the regular sushi bar for a good roll like the spicy king crab avocado ($7.95). The true craft of Chef 28 lies in its Special Rolls. The Fantasy Roll is delicious, with spicy tuna, salmon tempura, avocado, tuna flake and topped with a mango sauce. It has the guilty pleasure of tempura and sweet mango flavor that makes this dish special.

I love Chef 28 for its very affordable price and its great flavor.
