Fairfax in the Village is Gabriel Stulman’s latest all-day cafe. It joins Stulman’s other popular spots like Jeffery’s Grocery, Bar Sardine and Fedora. Breakfast brings Soft Boiled Eggs with Soldiers; Avocado Toast with butternut squash, radish & Aleppo peppers; and Pecorino Rosemary Scones. It’s accompanied by Mimosas and Bloody Marys as well as an assortment of coffees, teas and juices.. For lunch and dinner there are cheese platters along with small plates of things like oyster chowder, white bean hummus, steak tartare and sardines. Larger dishes include Arctic Char with cauliflower purée, Spaghetti with shrimp scampi, a Cubano and Chicken with za’atar stuffing. Desserts and full wine list are also available. As is the case with Stulman's other restaurants, the setting is stylish, yet relaxed.
