The shop which specializes in deep-fried and baked calzones, called panzerotti, can now be found at Gansevroot Market in the Meatpacking District. The light and airy pockets of dough come with a variety of fillings including classics like tomato and fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, and ham, ricotta & arugula as well as sweet varieties, like s’mores. At under ten dollars each, it makes for a light, affordable meal or snack.
