Michelin-starred Junoon reopens in Flatiron with a new look and concept. Junoon, which means "passion" in Hindi, offers an upscale take on traditional Indian cuisine. Look for vibrant flavors and an ambiance to match with ornate screens, private dining nooks and sexy bar.

The menu brings appetizers like Watermelon Chaat with pistachio and goat cheese, Lasooni Gobi with crispy cauliflower and garlic-chili-chutney, Tandoori Octopus with garlic aioli and roasted fingerlings, and Smoked Marsala Ribs with a vindaloo spice rub. Tempting mains include Tellicherry Duck, dry-aged crescent valley duck breast with a sauce of tellicherry peppercorns from the Malabar Coast.  Lamb Chops arrive with tamarind glazed brussel sprouts and leak puree, while Snapper Moilee features coconut milk, fenugreek, tumeric, heirloom tomatoes and hearts of palm. Desserts include Ma's Rice Pudding with candied almonds and caramelized banana, Cricket with chikoo mousse, coconut grass and guava, as well as a seasonal sorbet tasting.

Junoon also pushes the envelope with its cocktails like Royal-Tea made with Kikori whisky, Aperol, honey, English breakfast tea, and mahogany tea foam. The restaurant also boasts an elaborate whisky list that spans the globe.
