Cititour Review:

For the ultimate luxurious night out there is Le Bernadin led by Chef Eric Ripert.  The stylish French restaurant in Midtown arrived from Paris in 1986. Since then it has become part of the fabric of New York and the go-to spot for masterful seafood dishes.

Le Bernadin is known for dishes like Striped Bass Truffled Tartare with Périgord vinaigrette, Grilled Lobster “Mi-Cuit” with charred scallions and sea urchin sauce Américaine; Barely Cooked Faroe Islands Salmon with a morel-snow pea “Pot-au-Feu;” and Warm Peekytoe Crab with yuzu rice, Persian cucumber and green tea-nori consommé. Desserts by pastry chef Thomas Raquel include Blackberry-Rhubarb Compote with yogurt sorbet and hibiscus tuile, as well as Apple Brown Butter Mousse with armagnac sabayon

Guests can choose from a Prix Fixe menu ($180/person) and Chef’s Tasting Menu ($215/person, $365/person with wine pairing by wine director Aldo Sohm).  Le Bernadin is open for dinner Monday-Saturdays from 5pm to 11pm.  Through the end of 2021, the restaurant will donate $5.00 for every guest served to City Harvest in partnership with World Central Kitchen. Each donation will help feed 13 New Yorkers for a day.
