Just a few blocks away from original Levain Bakery on 74th Street (where you are sure to find a line down the block) is a new Levain bake shop offering the same great cookies and virtually no line. The signature Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie is a monster stretching about three inches wide and a good half inch thick. It's also sinfully delicious and well worth the $4 price tag. Also available is a Double Chocolate Chip, and Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter cookie along with other baked goods. The cookies can also be ordered online.
