Cititour Review:

Malaysia flavors come alive at Nyonya in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The space has an upscale feel with white linen tablecloths and dishes that are as appealing as they taste. There's a bit here for everyone, whether you are a meat or fish lover, or a vegetarian. Appetizers include deep-fried shrimp puffs wrapped with bacon, a baby oyster omelette and marinated chicken wings with screw pine leaves. The Nyonya Lobak offers a sampling of the spiced pork roll, fried tofu, and shrimp pancake served with a hoisin plum and chili sauce.  Larger plates include Chow Kueh Teow, Malaysian flat noodles with a delicious mix of shrimp, squid, sprouts, egg with a hot & spicy sauce.  Nyonya Kari Ayam offers chicken with lemongrass and chili paste simmered in a rich coconut curry. It's served with rice and sauteed vegetable topped with crispy tiny fish. The restaurant also serves an assortment of soups, rice dishes, sizzling plates and casseroles. A popular dessert is the ABC, traditional Malaysian shaved ice with red bean, corn, palm seeds and jelly with milk.
