Shokudo is nice neighborhood spot if you're looking for some noodles or sushi. Small plates include things like plump Japanese sausage (that sort of taste like mini hot dogs) and Tako Yaki; battered octopus balls, deep-fried, and served with BBQ sauce, mayo and dried bonito flakes. There are bowls of udon and ramen soups, including one topped with tempura shrimp, and Katsu Don; a deep-fried pork cutlet covered in egg on a bed of rice with an addictive sauce.
