Sliced is taking toast to a whole new level. The restaurant in Midtown specializes in artisanal open-faced sandwiches. You can go small with things like smashed avocado, feta, roasted seeds and alfalfa, or ricotta with blueberries, pistachio and raw honey. Or go big with with house-smoked salmon, herbed cream cheese, avocado, watermelon radish and pomegranate seeds. We tried the prosciutto with straciatella cheese, basil pesto, heirloom tomatoes, micro basil, red onion, arugula with a drizzle of olive oil. There's a lot going on, but it's all really tasty. We counted sixteen different toasts on the menu, including several sweet varieties. Breads are handpicked by the chef to compliment each set of toppings. Salads, soups and snacks are also available.
