Sushi on Jones has a new outpost at the Gotham West food hall where an “express“ omakase. There is a 7 piece nigiri - chef’s selection - for $35 and 12 piece for $58. All of the fish, which includes yellowtail tuna (Akami), fluke (Hirame), snapper (Madal), King Salmon, blue fin tuna belly (Chu Toro), sweet shrimp (Ebi) and Hokkaido scallop (Hotate), was pristine during our visit. Just be prepared to eat it rapid fire. The counter space is shared with Don Wagyu. A two-piece Wagyu nigiri is also offered with taro and leek for $20. A la carte options are also available, or you can place an order to good.
